Displays should be used to support science teaching.
Science displays should:
- be colourful and exciting;
- be interactive – with activities for children to do;
Consider what other characteristics they might have? For example, should science displays:
- offer interactivity;
- promote process skills;
- create opportunities to promote children's questions;
- incorporate the use of ICT;
- help develop a science topic;
- be a window to the science in your school;
- provide a snapshot of the nature of science in a school;
- provide a classroom teaching and learning tool;
- show progression throughout the school;
- offer a focal point for learning;
- be used as areas that house self - managed activities;
- contain science rules;
- provide a spring board for developing further ideas;
